On September 16, Metrobank Art and Design Excellence held the MADE Awarding Ceremony and Exhibition Opening. The event gave recognition to young Filipino artists who showcased their talent, bringing their unique pandemic experience to life through art. We joyfully congratulate these artists on their work:

We collaborated with MADE and the artists to create special edition face masks featuring the award-winning artworks. The masks feature a poly-blended outer layer, breathable cotton-blend inner layers, and a medical grade polypropylene filter. The design was printed through water-based technology, a sustainable alternative to traditional plastisol. Through this effort, the Metrobank Foundation fortuitously aligns with Bayo’s own mission of strengthening local weaving communities and supporting other social programs.
To us, the masks are a powerful representation of purposeful connections – one of Bayo’s guiding principles that means goal-oriented collaboration with individuals, organizations, communities, and other groups. This project with MADE and the artists highlight what these purposeful connections can do – create positive social impact while uplifting every party involved. With something as simple as these masks, we collaboratively empower small weaving communities, support sustainable supply chains, and celebrate local artists.
